London has a plethora of places to eat with food coming from all over the world. I’m not a food expert by any means, but I like to eat. I also don’t have any food allergies, and I’m not one bit fussy about food. If this sounds like you, here’s a list of 5 places to eat in London! I’ve even got a bonus extra one for you before I launch into the list. Also, a bit of a reality check, London is pricey and I also visited the exquisite eatery that is Gregg’s. Chicken bakes for the win!

1. Kave – 1 Goldhawk Rd, London W12 8QQ.
Kave is a vegan friendly cafe in Shepard’s Bush. They have a range of toasties, coffee, tea and milkshakes. I had a very nice ham and cheese toastie along with a flat white. It has a homely feel with a lot of customers on laptops working remotely. Take note that it’s laptop free on weekends. Check them out on Instagram here.
2. Harrod’s Café – 87-135 Brompton Rd, London SW1X 7XL, United Kingdom.
Located on the LG floor of the world famous department store, Harrod’s Café has a fantastic selection of food and drink to choose from. I opted for the cream tea which consists of two scones, jam, clotted cream and a pot of tea of your choice. Honestly it was one of the nicest scones I’ve ever had and I was full after both of them. It wasn’t too busy when I visited and I didn’t need to make a reservation. Cream tea costs £17.95 per person. More information is available on their website here.
3. Acme Fire Cult – Abbot St, London E8 3DP, UK.
If you’re in Dalston, this is one spot I’d highly recommend. I wanted to eat everything I saw coming out of the kitchen. They do a meal deal on Tuesdays of £25 for two courses and £30 for 3. If you go with a friend, you can order everything on their set menu and share. This place was less touristy and there were many people living locally here. There is also a bar right next to it on the same premises which was showing football matches. They have a very fancy website here for you to find out more!
4. El Ganso Cafe – 59 Broadway Market, London E8 4PH, United Kingdom.
I’m glad El Ganso still going strong since my last trip to London. This tapas cafe is located in Broadway Market which is a great place to check out if you’re looking to drink coffee, people watch, and browse shops near London Fields. The staff are very friendly and helped me get my phone charged without being painful about it. Check out El Ganso’s full menu here. Lastly, get the churros!
5. Ace Pizza at The Pembury Tavern – 90 Amhurst Rd, London E8 1JH, United Kingdom.
So I ended up here as it’s my friend’s local and it didn’t disappoint! The Pembury Tavern serve a fine collection of pizzas in Hackney, London. Matching up to their website’s description, they have a very spacious layout and drinks to accompany your pizza. Also, it really does feel like a local. If you’re in the area, it’s worth a visit.
Thanks for Reading!

That Kave flat white looks good for the drinking. But also with everyone else on their laptops I’d fit right in

It might be a new stop for you the next time you’re around Shepard’s Bush in London 🙂
I used to live in London, and it was always a treat finding special places to eat. One of my all-time favourite pizza places is a small, family-owned restaurant called La Rugoletta in North London—it was always incredible. The ones you have listed here sound amazing too and if I ever back in the UK, I will be trying out some of these!
