Getting to Skycab Langkawi and Entry Fees
Visiting Skycab Langkawi for me was fairly straightforward. It was a 30 minutes Grab from my hotel. It cost 85 MYR for foreign visitors and 65 MYR for a child. It’s an extra 50 MYR for the express lane. You can pay 43 MYR if you’re a MyKad holder and 33 MYR for child who is a MyKad holder.
Queuing for Skycab Langkawi and What to Expect
On the day I went there was little to no queue but the skycab was very hot. Bring water and stay hydrated. Once you reach the top, you will reach the middle station. There are more photo opportunities where you will see a platform overlooking the beautiful coastline and turquoise waters.
As there were no queues, I only needed ten minutes before moving on to the next station. There was an option to visit the Eagle’s Nest but it wasn’t included in my ticket. When you reach the top platform. It is divided into a north and south part. On the north platform, you’ll have a view of the Machinchang Cambrian Geoforest Park which was formed 550 million years ago and is the oldest rock formation in Southeast Asia.
In addition, I had to buy another ticket for 6 MYR to access the Sky Bridge which was on the south platform. Another thing to take into consideration is that there most likely will be monkeys on the bridge. You can take a small train back up but I opted for the walk. It’s not too strenuous but it’s hot, humid and you’ll sweat buckets! On your way back, the cable car will take you back to the middle platform and directly down to the start again.
