When you visit Langkawi in Malaysia, a trip to Seven Wells Waterfall is a great way to get active and out and about in nature. It’s located about 700m along the main road from the Langkawi Sky Cab by foot. This will take you to the entrance for Seven Wells Waterfall. You can read more about what to expect if you decide to take a Langkawi Sky Cab here.

Once You Reach the Entrance for Seven Wells Waterfall.
Once you enter and walk up the steps/hill for about 3/4 minutes you’ll see a sign post. Take a left and walk for 5 minutes and you’ll see the first waterfall. It’s incredibly steep, but spectacular.
Going Further Up the Seven Wells Waterfall.
If you’d like to explore the Seven Wells Waterfalls even more, walk back the way you came and walk further up. As a word of warning, this is strenuous and if I could do it again I would have brought a spare t-shirt with me because I was sweating so much. Furthermore, I would have tried to go earlier in the morning when it was cooler.
About 10-15 minutes later, you’ll reach the next part of the waterfalls which have loads of flat smooth pieces of rock and you can slide down into small plunge pools. It’s lots of fun and refreshing after the hike up! The slide is suitable for almost everyone. I used this time to wash my t-shirt and let it dry from the heat from the rocks. Others were having picnics in the area as well. In addition, the view from up above is beautiful but as a word of warning, it’s challenging to get out of the pool afterwards.
Going Even Further Past Seven Wells Waterfall (Full Disclosure: I didn’t)
Further upwards will take you on a 2 hour hike (or so I’ve been told) to Machinchang Peak. With the heat, time and lack of water, I decided to head back down. That said, there is a useful blog here about Machinchang Peak if you’d like to read more.
Thanks for Reading!
Overall, Seven Wells Waterfall is definitely worth a visit if you’re going to visit Langkawi in Malaysia. I hope that this post was of some use. If you liked it, you may like some of my other posts about Malaysia.
