Non-Alcoholic Options in Hong Kong

I’m going to be very honest, this is a total half-hearted post as the idea came to me when I left Hong Kong. That said, as a non-drinker, I do think it’s something I could add onto this blog. Keep reading to find out more about three non-alcoholic options I discovered during my recent trip to Hong Kong.

Mocktails at The Iron Fairies.

I’m a firm believer that just because you don’t drink alcohol, doesn’t mean that you can go out and have a good time. The Iron Fairies was recommended to me by so many people and I enjoyed the live music and atmosphere there.

They have plenty of beer and cocktail options so I tried a few mocktails. To be honest, they were a bit on the pricey side but they tasted good. I had a look online to fact check the names of the mocktails but I can’t find them anywhere. If you do, please let me know!

Alcohol Free Sparkling Botanical G&T from Marks and Spencer.

I found this by pure chance in Marks and Spencer when one of my friends showed it to me. Gin and tonic was never really my kind of drink. I had it once years ago when I visited a friend in Calais in France. My main reason for trying it was because I wanted to see what all the aul wans in The Rovers Return in Coronation St were harping on about.

Looking back, it was laced with gin and I found it too strong. It put me off it until years later when a friend reintroduced me to it. Then, I went off it again when I had a few with too much gin. This can of gin and tonic from Marks and Spencer was a nice balance. You could definitely taste gin, but as it was non-alcoholic.It was fine. I’d recommend it to a friend.

Zero Percent Sparkling Botanical G&T Marks and Spencer

Coke Zero.

This is what I meant when I said that this is a half-hearted post at the start. You can get Coke Zero practically anywhere (although it’s ridiculously priced in bars!). When I was in Hong Kong, I feel like it was pretty much all I drank when I was in bars or restaurants in particular. It isn’t a particularly ambitious option, but it serves it’s purpose and it gives your taste buds some flavour (and it’s sugar free, too!).

That’s all for this post. I’ll try and be a bit more intentional when looking for non-alcoholic drink options for non-drinkers next time I travel. I would also love to hear of any blogs in this area as well! If you know of any reasonably priced non-alcoholic options in Hong Kong, please feel free to share in the comments.

Until next time!
