How to Get to Anji Flee-City Villa

Anji Flee-City Villa is located at Changshuo Street Sanyou Community Fangjia Heading Changlongshan Road No.188, Anji, Zhejiang, China. If you’re planning to take the train like I did, Huzhou and Deqing stations are nearby. This is one place you’ll want to maximise your time so make sure to check out all potential options. You can get a didi to the hotel from either train station. I took one from Huzhou and it was approximately an hour and it cost 200RMB. The hotel arranged my return Didi on my behalf which saved me the hassle of trying to organise the return trip.

Checking In and Out at Anji Flee-City Villa

I was greeted with a warm welcome from the staff at Anji Flee-CIty Villa. In particular, they have a member of staff whose name is Laughing. He speaks both English and Chinese and did everything he could to make me feel at home from the beginning.

He gave me welcome fruit and showed me to my room which was very hi-tech compared to what I’m used to. There was a small kitchen area with a mini-bar (with peanuts, Oreos, water and Coke Zero), stairs with a sensor and each step lit up as I walked up.

In addition, the view overlooking the bamboo trees of Anji was phenomenal and there’s space to sit outside and relax on the balcony. Further into the distance, you’ll be able to see a view of the centre of Anji. Laughing gave me his WeChat if I had any queries or questions.

The Room at Anji Flee-City Villa

The room where I stayed at Anji Flee-City Villa was very spacious and plenty of natural light came in. There was also a bathroom with a shower and sink and toiletries were provided. I was also impressed with the Dyson hairdryer which was very handy when I needed to dry my hair quickly. The mattress was very comfortable and I was asleep within minutes.

Furthermore, I noticed several remote controls in the room. These were to operate the curtains, and are very necessary to use if you don’t want to wake up from the incoming sunlight in the morning. Another control is for the projector which came out from the ceiling. It plays a wide selection of movies in Chinese and there are also some online video streaming apps which you can access as well.

Additionally, I’ve never stayed in a place which has a hot tub. Anji Flee-City Villa has one in each unit. Don’t be intimidated by the massive cover, it’s very easy to operate and I am completely sold on them now. I spent over an hour relaxing in my one for an hour and I could have easily spent more time there.

Facilities on Offer at Anji Flee-City Villa

To be honest, I don’t even know where to begin when it comes to telling you about the facilities on offer at Anji Flee-City Villa. I feel like this hotel has everything you can imagine! There is a very decently-sized infinity pool overlooking the hills of green bamboo trees in Anji to start. It’s also a great spot to watch the sunset. There are four sun loungers there so I would suggest going there early during peak times.

Another really cool feature of this hotel is the outdoor cinema. There is seating and a projector set up to watch movies. When I visited, they were playing a movie in English with Chinese subtitles. Make sure to wear bug spray as you will see plenty of dragonflies, etc. throughout your stay.

For eating, there is a restaurant on site with a wide range of Chinese dishes. In the morning, there is a buffet-style breakfast with a mixture of Chinese and Western options. You can also get tea and coffee. There is a bar/cafe there as well but it wasn’t open during my visit. For families, there is a very nice play area with wigwams and a playground for kids to play at.

But that’s not all! There is also a games room with a mixture of games for kids, a pool table, a card room, along with a rowing machine, treadmill, and bike. Now, they are not just here for show. They are all new and functioning. You need to connect to an APP via WeChat if you’d like to use the exercise machines though so be aware of that.

Activities Near Anji Flee-City Villa

If you really wanted to, you could just stay put at the complex. It is so well equipped that there is little to no need to leave. However, there are some really nice hikes nearby if you want to go off-grid and into nature for a few hours. Laughing dropped me off near a very nice 2km path not too far from the resort. You can read more about that hike here.

Who Would Enjoy Anji Flee-City Villa?

In all honesty, this is the type of place that has something for everyone and anyone. If you’re a solo traveller, a couple, a group of friends or a family, there is something for everyone at Anji Flee-City Villa. I would find it very hard to believe that someone could get bored here. There is even a conference room on-site if you need to hold business meetings.

Another thing I’d like to mention is the hospitality of the staff. Although Laughing is the main member of staff who speaks English, they were all extremely helpful and hospitable to the best of their ability. They also gave me a parting gift of waffles, water and local bamboo which was very kind and another very nice touch.
