In this blog post, I’ll cover information in relation to the location, facilities, the overall experience and who I would recommend this place for. Location and Checking in
Athens City Center Luxury Suites are located downtown in the area of Pangrati and with Acropoli, Syntagma and Evangelismos subway stops not too far away. Click here to find Athens City Center Luxury suites on a map. In order to check in, I received a message with a code to enter which opened a box with the key to my room.
It’s a great location but on a hill which leads to nice views of the Athens rooftops. However, if you’re concerned about the steps, there aren’t too many at this part. However, the district is quite hilly. You’ll have a great pair of calves after a few trips up and down! Another thing to check with the manager of the property is the location of your room because some are on the ground floor and some are up some steps which might not be safe or suitable if you’re heavy or of large build.
In addition, it’s close to several local bars and restaurants. However, if you want to head downtown to Syntagma Square it takes approximately 20 minutes walking. Also, here’s a picture of the Acropolis I took from the street just above Athens City Center Luxury Suites.
Facilities
There is a small amount of storage space along with a hot plate and a small oven and sink if you’d like to cook while you’re there. Furthermore, there’s a small bathroom which consists of a toilet and shower. That said, be prepared if you like to have space while you shower, because it is limited. Personally, it served its purpose for what I wanted.
If you need it, heating and air-conditioning are also available. There is also a large roof terrace which can hold several people so I think if you wanted to use the space for a small outdoor gathering, it would be suitable.
There is also a television and computer but to be honest, I just used my laptop when I was there. The connection was perfect. I had a small bit of hassle connecting but once I spoke to Andreas, who was managing the property, he helped me to get sorted. Also, the view from my room was very pleasant and lots of natural light came into the room.
Overall Experience
Personally, I thought that this was a nice place to stay. It was quiet, private and perfect if you wanted to get some work done or be within access of Athens City Centre. I was happy with the distance to all of the tourist sites, along with access to some very nice restaurants nearby. Check out this post for some inspiration.

Athens City Center Luxury Suites is ideal for people looking for a private place to stay for a few days, in particular if you are a solo traveller. I think it would also be suitable for anyone who might be travelling for work, or looking for a short term base in Athens, if they have just arrived. Check it out and see for yourself!
